FAQs

Q – There are dozens of RTOs delivery training – why should we choose Business Dynamics?

A – Thank You – a nice easy one to start with!

  • Because we focus on your needs and outcomes…
  • Because we use accelerated learning techniques that involve learning-by-doing…
  • Because we use applied assessment, giving your Team the opportunity to practise what they learn in the workplace
  • Because we support your Team through the whole process
  • And because we believe that learning should be fun!

Q – I don’t like to lose productivity time for my staff to go training! Is there a way to minimise this?

A – We don’t think you should either – that’s why we come to you and run the training when it suits you.

We are flexible. We can deliver mornings, lunch time, after work, at weekends, from once a month to a week of intensive training – anytime to fit your priorities and work load.

Q - Isn’t it just another piece of paper (Certificate)?

A – No, and this is why we deliver training in-company – to suit your areas of importance and to fit your work load so you can get the benefits of both improving your peoples’ skills and your company’s performance.

We also use trainers with business consulting and management experience; Our training is solution-driven combining elements of coaching and consulting. We discuss real life work scenarios and give your staff the knowledge and tools to solve problems themselves.

Q – So you believe that learning should be fun? I’m not sure I want to pay for my people to have fun?

A – We don’t have fun for the sake of it or just to “entertain” – people learn MORE when they are enjoying the process AND they remember more when it comes to the application of learning in the workplace!

Q – What if I train my people and they leave?

A – What if you don’t train them and they stay? Surely having untrained people performing management tasks is significantly more dangerous than the risk of them leaving? And no, training people does NOT encourage them to start looking elsewhere – on the contrary, all the research shows that it has the opposite effect and improves staff loyalty.

Q – We’ve tried training before, but it didn’t really achieve much…

A – We wouldn’t suggest that this is what happened to you, of course, but experience tells us that throwing a bit of training in the general vicinity of people doesn’t achieve much. We prefer an integrated approach where we, the trainees AND their manager are working together to achieve your training outcomes.

Q – Yes, but how do I know what my Team really needs?

A – We work with you AND your Team to define your issues, to define their needs and, where necessary, undertaking a TNA (Training Needs Analysis). We never deliver an off-the-shelf programme!

Q – What happens if we hit a busy period and I can’t release people for the training?

A – We will agree a schedule at the start of the training, usually a workshop every three weeks. If that coincides with busy periods, then we can adjust by increasing the gaps between workshops as necessary. If it get unexpectedly busy, then we will try to accommodate changes if you can give us at least a weeks notice.

Q – Unlike some other RTOs, you don’t list a per capita price on your Website. Why?

A – a) Because we’re NOT like other RTOs! And b) our price depends on a number of things, including: – the level of tailoring required to meet your learning objectives; the numbers of people, attending; their current knowledge and skills levels; and the availability of the federal incentives to subsidise the training.

Q – Speaking of the federal incentives, I’ve heard that getting them is time-consuming and onerous?

A – Not really. We work with Mission Australia as the Australian Apprenticeship Centre (we share similar values and culture) and they deal with all the paperwork associated with the incentives. The incentive is paid in two parts – the Commencement Incentive of $1500, which is paid 90 days after registration and the Completion Incentive, which is usually paid within 10 days of receiving the certificates. There are NO reports for you on complete during the training and may get a visit from the AAC during the contract period (only one and sometimes not even that)

Q – Do we have to pay all your fees upfront?

A – No, we’ll agree on a cashflow friendly payment schedule, which takes into account your company’s needs and the government funding schedule. In a lot of cases the training is cost-neutral to your company.
